Swiss Tunnel Congress 2009

The Swiss Tunnelling Society (FGU) of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA) once again staged its 8th convention, the Swiss Tunnel Congress in Lucerne/CH on June 17th and 18th, 2009 in conjunction with the AlpTransit Gotthard AG featuring reports on the new Alpine rail routes (NEAT) seen from the viewpoint of those involved in building them. On the day prior to the congress a colloquium was held together with the ETH Zurich – this time relating to “TBM Driving in soft Ground” with contributions by planners, contractors and product manufacturers.
