German tunnel-Forum 2013 lights up the Dark

The STUVA and the magazine tunnel published by the Bauverlag will stage the 2nd German tunnel-Forum in autumn 2013.

This series of events will concentrate on light, colour and social safety and aims at tackling somewhat out of the ordinary topics relating to planning, constructing and operating tunnels and other underground structures, which frequently are found on the fringe of major national and international events.

With Prof. Alfred Haack in the chair, international leading experts will deal with psychological, technical and economic aspects of light and colour in underground transportation facilities.

The Bauverlag is one of the biggest sources for architecture and structural engineering. For some years the Bauverlag has successfully organised events ranging from specialised forums, congresses and guided exhibition tours by way of specialised excursions right up to events tailor-made for clients.

The STUVA Inc. is an independent, non-profit research institution. It was founded in 1960 and today it has more than 230 members. The STUVAtec – Research Association for underground Transportation Facilities with limited liability – was established in 1996 to take care of commissions from industry. It concentrates on fundamental research and special investigations, mainly in the fields of underground construction as well as rail and road transport. By dint of the experience and know-how gained from numerous research activities, the STUVA and STUVAtec are also much in demand for many project-related studies and surveys at home and abroad.
