Insightful Visits to Elbe Tunnel
and Hochbahn Operating Centre

At the end of October 2015 around 30 members of  ITA COSUF (Committee on Operational Safety of Underground Facilities/Fig. 1) took the opportunity to visit the Elbe Tunnel including a tunnel ventilation demonstration, the Elbe Tunnel control centre and the operating centre of Hochbahn (metro and public transport operator of Hamburg) from which Hamburg’s more than 100 km long underground metro system is operated.
