Austria – BrennerCongress 2010 and Viatec 2010 in Innsbruck
The first BrennerCongress is taking place in Innsbruck/A from February 25th to 27th, 2010. The BrennerCongress replaces the Brenner Base Tunnel Symposium held in 2007 and 2008 and has been augmented to a considerable degree: the transport infrastructure fair Viatec is being staged parallel to the BrennerCongress. Both events are taking place on the premises of the Messe Innsbruck. As a result the congress participants have the chance to combine the fair and congress in an ideal manner.
A cultural framework programme is to be provided at the official dinner for the Brenner Congress on February 25th, 2010 at the Messe Innsbruck. The world-renowned Wilten Boys’ Choir will entertain the congress participants with music.
BrennerCongress and Viatec are to be staged alternately in Innsbruck and Bozen each year in future: The BrennerCongress will tackle the Brenner Base Tunnel and its access routes as well as road construction and the entire transportation structure in the Alpine region (building, operation, maintenance and transport logistics etc.). The Viatec is an international forum for all sectors of the transportation structure in the Alpine region, for rail and road building as well as bridge and tunnel construction.
The BrennerCongress 2010 will deal with the following main topics:
Brenner Base Tunnel and Access Routes:
– Information on current level of planning and execution
– TBM technology for penetrating squeezing rock
– Cyclic driving technologies with yielding supports.
Concrete for Road, Rail-way, Bridge and Tunnel Construction:
