The colloquium, to be held in Lecture Hall B of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg Library, will examine current developments and research results in modern drilling technology and underground engineering.
Over the two days of the event, the focus will be on the following topics:
Performance-orientated drilling methods and innovative rock destruction technologies
Energy and material efficiency as well as tool and process optimisation
Near-surface applications and use of the subsurface for urban energy systems and infrastructure
Geothermal potentials and developments
Strengthening the role of drilling as a key technology for a sustainable energy and raw materials economy
The aim of the colloquium is to present current research findings, pilot projects and industrial applications that illustrate the contribution of modern drilling technologies to the sustainable development of resources, the energy transition and the efficient utilisation of the urban subsurface.
This specialist colloquium will be held mainly in German. Some contributions will be presented in English.
