Perjen Tunnel – Tunnelling Works fully on Schedule

Since May 2016, about 150 employees have been at work on the drill and blast excavation of the nearly 3000 m long second Perjen Tunnel in Austria. A site visit in the middle of October showed that all works and all costs are running as planned.

130 million euros are being invested by the ASFINAG in the new construction and refurbishment of the Perjen Tunnel. The new second tunnel on the S 16 Arlberg Schnellstraße road should be completed by the end of 2018 – to be followed by the refurbishment of the existing tunnel.
