Port of Miami Tunnel is set to be opened in May

As link to the Interstate 195 and 95 freeways the 1.2 km long Port of Miami Tunnel with two bores, each with two lanes, underpasses the channel for the world’s biggest cruise ship harbour on the coast of Florida. It was produced by the 12.84 m diameter EPB shield “Harriet” (S-600, Herrenknecht AG) with 6300 kW drive capacity and 37 211 kNm nominal torque.
