Siemens Control Technology in the San Fedele Road Tunnel

The heavily used main A13 road runs through Roveredo, a small town in the Misox Valley in Switzerland. To bypass the town, the Swiss Road Traffic Authority
(ASTRA) decided to build the 2.5 km long dual-lane San Fedele road tunnel, which was opened in November 2016.Control technology for the tunnel was supplied by Siemens. These solutions set whole new standards in the field of linking control technology to an existing traffic control system operated by the local Canton.
