12th International Conference on Geosynthetics

The Italian Geotechnical Society (AGI) and the Italian Section of the IGS (AGI-IGS) invite you to the 12th International Conference on Geosynthetics to be held in Rome, Italy in September 2023.
The geosynthetics and geotechnical engineering community has gained extensive awareness over the last two decades, and the entire geosynthetics industry has focused on the sustainable use of geosynthetics in a variety of innovative and also consolidated applications. After sustainability, the ability to overcome the impacts of natural events, often related to climate change, and human activities has become a new keyword: Resilience.
Therefore, the 12ICG aims to become the basis for the next step, and the conference theme is:
Geosynthetics leading the way to a resilient planet
The conference themes will cover the latest developments in the field of geosynthetics through general and parallel sessions, keynote lectures and invited presentations, stimulating fruitful technical and scientific exchanges between academics, professionals, manufacturers and students.
The 12ICG will provide an excellent opportunity to present the latest experiences and developments to an audience of engineers, geologists and consultants, public and private contractors, local national and international authorities, and all those involved in geosynthetics research and practice.
The conference will take place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, located in the heart of an emerging cultural district in Rome and designed by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano. The Auditorium is the largest multifunctional complex in Europe and the second largest "culture factory" in the world after the Lincoln Center in New York. The Auditorium also houses an ancient villa dating back to 300 BC and a museum, making it a true archaeological site.
