A large number of infrastructural schemes are being executed in the region for the 2014 Winter Olympics to be held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi. These include a roughly 13  km long bypass for the city centre, which embraces a 2,607  m long tunnel. Peri developed and supplied a tunnel formwork carriage for producing the 6 emergency lay-bys. In these areas the tube is expanded by 3.50  m – in contrast to the standard cross-section.
