Change at the Helm of the DB Stuttgart–Ulm Project

DB Projekt Stuttgart–Ulm GmbH (PSU) will have a new CEO as of March 1, 2026: Klaus Müller will succeed Olaf Drescher, who is retiring.

Klaus Müller has been a member of the PSU executive board since the beginning of the year. The manager has been with the DB Group since 2001. Before moving to the Stuttgart–Ulm project, he was a member of the executive board responsible for digitalization at DB InfraGO AG. Prior to that, he was chairman of the executive board of DB Kommunikationstechnik GmbH for almost six years. Müller has many years of experience in large-scale projects, complex timetable and construction processes, and the organization-wide implementation of digital solutions.

Olaf Drescher has played a key role in managing the Stuttgart-Ulm Railway Project since 2018 and, as chair of the executive board, successfully brought the Wendlingen-Ulm high-speed line into operation. Prior to this, he was project manager for the Berlin-Munich high-speed line (German Unity Transport Project No. 8), where he successfully completed one of DB's most important new construction projects.
