A new project started with the involvement of the STUVA in August 2017: „Verbesserung der Sicherheit in unterirdischen städtischen Verkehrsbereichen bei Einsatz neuer Energieträger (SUVEREN)“ (Improvement of the safety in underground transport areas in cities when new energy sources are used), which is supported with 1.8 million euros by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the research for civil safety program over a period of three years (August 2017–July 2020).
