Extension of the U3 in Nuremberg On 23 March 2022, the breakthrough on the last convetionally excavated tunnel section for the extension of underground line 3 in Nuremberg was completed exactly on schedule. A Kemroc KR 165 rotary drum cutter in combination with a special Liebherr tunnel excavator was among the machines used for driving the tunnel (page 54).
