Citytunnel Waidhofen/Ybbs

The Citytunnel Waidhofen is located in Lower Austria and runs straight through the densely populated community of Waidhofen with its 11,000 inhabitants on the River Ybbs. The aim of the approx. 44 million euro investment was to relieve the residential district from ever increasing traffic.

The single-bore road tunnel connected to the B31 federal highway, the Ybbstal Straße and the Waidhofen urban road network through the western and eastern roundabouts runs mainly through the Buchenberg without buildings directly above it.
