Flexible Solutions for Tunnel Construction

Peri’s Bauma exhibition hall on the open-air site North (stand FN 719) in Munich will be themed “Shaping the future” from 24 to 30 October 2022, with exhibits, live demonstrations, individual discussions and information events in store. Among other things, the German company will show flexible solutions and digital technologies for tunnel construction.

Formwork and Scaffolding Manufacturer Shows Its Expertise at Bauma

Safety and efficiency on the construction site also increase the profitability of a tunnel construction project. That is why Peri will be demonstrating its extensive expertise in formwork and scaffolding solutions for tunnel construction at Bauma 2022 with various exhibits. In discussions with the experts at the stand, visitors will also be able to see for themselves the Peri engineering services that ensure the realisation of demanding civil engineering projects. The portfolio is complemented by digital tools that can be tried out in Munich.

Modular Tunnel Formwork Carriage

The VTC tunnel formwork carriage is for tunnelling projects of particular interest. This cost-efficient formwork solution is based on components of the Variokit engineering kit and thus offers high flexibility. The VTC is used for the construction of tunnels in both cut-and-cover and conventional tunnelling, as well as for their refurbishment. Monolithic, partially monolithic or separate casting methods can be realised. Using an exhibit modelled on a real project, Peri will demonstrate the various application possibilities and advantages for tunnel construction. In combination with information on professional engineering, the visitors can experience how the manufacturer finds solutions that are precisely tailored to the construction site and can be individually configured. With its formwork and scaffolding systems, Peri has made an international name for itself as a reliable partner for tunnel construction projects – throughout all project phases, from planning to completion.

With a wide range of digital services and products, Peri supports customers on their way into the digital future of construction and will be presenting solutions at bauma 2022 that provide support during various project phases. The featured portfolio ranges from early visualisation of the construction project to the possibility of monitoring precise final results: In addition to in-house planning software, a system configurator, the Peri component library for BIM software and the „myPERI“ customer portal, the offering also includes sensors for determining material conditions and numerous other innovative technologies.

All solutions have one thing in common: they simplify the preparation and execution of formwork and scaffolding projects, are designed for simplicity of use and high user benefit and offer a realistic visualisation of project planning. “With our digital solutions, we generate added value along the core processes of our customers. The profound change in construction methods and processes driven and enabled by digital technology allows us to significantly increase efficiency, safety and automation,” explains Michel Seeger, Head of Digital Products and Services at Peri Group.

In addition, Peri‘s digital offering supports companies in actively responding to the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry and helps to shape their business for the future. With automated work processes as well as more ergonomic, cleaner and safer working conditions, the use of Peri tools is intended to create new opportunities to retain skilled personnel in the long term.

Visitors to the trade fair will be able to try out the software and tools and experience digital examples of tunnelling projects in an exchange with experts. Interested parties will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in extended reality or to get to know the extended planning possibilities of the various apps. In addition, Peri will also provide an outlook on what the future of digital applications may look like.
