Online Supervision of mechanised Tunnelling

In mechanised tunnelling, the sensor system on the tunnel boring machine (TBM) and its control system (navigation) as well as surveying and precast segment production all record a great amount of varied data. The analysis, visualisation and monitoring of this data
represents an important instrument for efficient control of mechanised tunnelling.

The present article describes an online monitoring platform for the integrated recording and processing of the data recorded as a tunnel advances. The emphasis of the platform is the construction element-related and georeferenced recording of the data, and the processing and provision of the great quantities of data, which is recorded in particular by the sensors on the TBM and generated in the course of surveying.
